Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled session.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments without prior notice, may be charged in full.
Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the counsellor.
Counselling Process and Ending Counselling
Counselling is a collaborative and voluntary process. Clients are free to end counselling at any stage.
Occasionally, supportive materials, reflection exercises, worksheets, or recommended resources may be suggested between sessions to encourage personal growth and support the counselling process. Participation in these activities is entirely voluntary.
There may also be occasions where either the client or the counsellor feels that the counselling process is no longer meeting the client's needs, falls outside the scope of the counsellor's professional competence, or is no longer contributing meaningfully to the client's goals. In such situations, the possibility of ending counselling will be discussed openly and respectfully.
Where appropriate, alternative forms of support, referrals, or recommendations may be provided to help ensure that the client receives the most suitable care for their circumstances.
Throughout the counselling process, clients are encouraged to communicate openly about their experience. Clients are welcome to request a pause, clarification, or change of focus during a session if they feel overwhelmed, uncomfortable, or need additional time to process what is being discussed.
The aim is to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment in which clients can explore challenges, develop insight, and work towards meaningful personal growth.
